Striker left Spurs for Germany in 2023Has impressed in front of goalCriticised amid search for first major honourWHAT HAPPENED?
The prolific 30-year-old frontman headed to Germany in the summer of 2023 after severing career-long ties with Tottenham. A €100 million (£85m/$109m) transfer was said to have been driven by Kane’s desire to collect major honours – which had proved elusive throughout his time in north London.

Kane suffered defeat in the German Super Cup shortly after linking up with Bayern, and has seen them slip behind surprise leaders Bayern Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table. He has still registered 26 goals through 25 appearances, but has been accused of having records set by Robert Lewandowski dominating his thoughts.
WHAT PARKER SAID ABOUT KANE
That is the opinion of ex-England international Parker, with the Premier League title winner – who spent five years of his playing career at Manchester United – telling : “I think… as much as I'm not a big fan of Harry Kane, you have got to respect the amount of goals he is scoring. It's definitely impressive. The problem is that he is not good to have around. The only thing he is focusing on is beating Lewandowski's record. That's the only thing he cares about and then he can come back to the Premier League to take another record.
"He is very selfish. Look, everyone is laughing about him in England. People were talking about him leaving because he wanted to win trophies and he is not winning anything. On the flipped side of things, Tottenham are doing extremely well. I said it when he was there, they would be better without him. Now, it shows that I was right. When Harry Kane is at a club, everything is about him. Everything. I think Spurs should be happy he left them.”

Tottenham have faltered slightly after enjoying an impressive start to the 2023-24 campaign, while talismanic captain Son Heung-min is currently away at the Asia Cup. Kane is their all-time leading scorer, with 280 efforts to his name, and did see a buy-back option included in the deal that took him to Munich.
